It's about the clothes. Not the girl. But that's the fun of it. So just keep guessing...

Summer Lovin'

A few things I've learned about summer clothing....

1. Wear what YOU want to wear! Summer is deceivingly difficult because 1) there's a lot less to wear and 2) shorts are difficult to style. But I think you should be in control of what you wear, without worrying if the shorts look too juvenile, long, baggy, etc. You all can rock those shorts, I know it! I like to follow the current trends and then adapt my shorts inventory to those trends. If you're comfy and confident, you look fabulous.

2. Don't be afraid to wear more simple outfits. As fashion-lovers, we all like to layer shirts, necklaces, shoes, everything! But in the summer, layering a lot of items gets to be uncomfortable. I was fortunate enough to be able to layer today, but in the mid-90 July humidity I'd stick with the high waisted shorts, white tee, and belt. Sometimes less is more, and this definitely applies to summer outfits!

3. Dresses in the summer are great!! One seemingly obvious thing that I just recently picked up on is that dresses are sheer perfection in the summer. They're breathable, wearable, and adorable! (I totally planned this sentence to include three "-able"s)

4. If you've got it, flaunt it. Good news is everyone has something to flaunt! Whether we realize it or not, we all have certain beauties to our bodies. I used to envy some of those celebrities with the seemingly perfect bodies, but then I realized how fake that is. Hello, no one has a butt like Kim Kardashian's, stomach as flat as a seven year old's stomach, and boobs the size of Kate Upton's. So let's stop living up to those standards. Instead, let's realize the true beauty among us...starting with ourselves! Since everyone is beautiful in one way or another, then we all need to flaunt it. Chins up, keep confident, and flaunt away!:)

Stay happy <3

Here's something that just goes to show how much of an impact (a fake one!) photoshop can make. No one looks completely perfect naturally, so the editors photoshopped this Katy Perry... Even though she is naturally beautiful without any photoshop. It really puts it into perspective!

    1. Thank you!:) It's one of my weak points too...but then again, isn't it everyone's? Especially with media throwing around such fake models, it can be very difficult. I agree, that would be a great fourth of July look ~ thanks for the idea :)
