The Perfect Fit

Who else really loves peplum tops? I like how the lines in peplum styles give us the perfect fit, narrowing at our smallest point and curving outward at our bust and hips to paint a nice hourglass shape. The thing I've noticed about peplums is that everyone looks amazing in them! If you can't already tell by my excessive optimism here, I'm a huge fan of peplum styles! So tell me... what do you think about peplum tops?

Hogwarts

I hope you are all having wonderful weekends:) Now, hopefully some of you are Harry Potter fans... because that is the focus of this post! I bought this cardigan because I saw it and thought it sort of resembled the colors in the Hogwarts uniforms. I thought it was a cute cardi but I bought it for the Hogwarts reason, not seeing it as a wearable or timeless piece. Well I was completely wrong. I actually love this cardigan!! I've been able to pair it with so many different outfits, because it's simple yet it ties in two unlikely colors. So kudos to Hogwarts for picking some raw colors;) For this look in particular, I thought girly would be nice. I paired the "Hogwarts cardi" with my simple floral shirt, cuffed jeans, nude shoes, and accessories. By the way, I apologize for the poor quality photos... I had to take them with my phone!

Spring Rack

You know those classic pinterest/instagram pictures of a perfect looking spring clothing rack? It's just a rack of vibrant, beautifully colored assortments of clothing pieces, and every time I see a picture like it I start craving all of the spring clothes! Well, today I thought, "Why not create my look based off of that highly coveted instagram-esque picture?" We often hesitate to pair completely different patterns and colors together, but I think that if it looks appealing on the clothing rack, it most likely will look appealing on you, too!! So go for it. Don't forget to have fun with it... and model it off of a group of clothes that you think would look great on a spring rack.

Vintage

I have a bit of a problem... For some reason, I never know how to put together vintage outfits. It just doesn't come naturally to me. So, even though I didn't succeed in vintage-izing today's outfit, I tried putting together different, warn, off-white pieces to somewhat form a vintage look! Have a great Tuesday :)

Transition

Who else is already ready for spring?? I'm so anxious for the neons, florals, open-toe wedges, and skirts that will soon be swarming to all of my favorite stores. Not to mention the nice warm weather... As a tribute to that excitement, I added this bright scarf as a transitioning piece for our gradual shift from winter to spring. It's slow, but it's also right around the corner! I kept the rest of my outfit still in winter/dark colors, because technically we're still in the cold winter months.
